I get people coming to me all the time and saying,  “I want to do real estate but I don’t have any credit. Or my credit is really terrible.”

 

Now guess what, guys? Credit doesn’t matter. There’s a thing called OPC, other people’s credit. You got to get out there and leverage or borrow somebody else’s credit. Because your credit doesn’t matter.

 

You see people will use no credit as their excuse to no start. Want to know what an excuse is?

 

It is the skin of a reason, stuffed with a lie.

 

Now you can come back and say, “Now Stefan, my credit is so bad even my own mother won’t lend me ten bucks. My reason for not starting is valid.”

 

I would tell you not to use your Mom’s credit but someone else’s

 

I was talking to somebody the other day and I was saying if I went bankrupt, it wouldn’t even matter because I would just borrow someone else’s credit, someone else’s cash, and get started all over again.

 

You can do that as well. Bad credit is an excuse.

 

When you know have to leverage other people’s time, money, credit, assets, intellectual property, products, when you know how to leverage other people’s assets, that’s how you can really get ahead in this world.

 

If you say I can’t do real estate, I don’t have any credit, that’s an excuse. There’s so many ways that you can get around that.

 

If I can leave you with anything today, it’s to not accept excuses from anyone. Especially from yourself. Just get it done and do whatever it takes.
