I always get asked how can I get ahead? Now, there’s 3 ways to get ahead in life.

One is you find somebody who has what you want, and you pay them for their knowledge.

The second one is the blood, sweat, and tears method where you just go and grind it out, and it’s the slow and painful and expensive way.

The third way is you work for free, which is very expensive on your time, but cheap on your money.

Now, working for free is something I did years ago. I still do it. I work for free in my companies all the time. I work for free in other people’s companies to learn.

It’s something you absolutely must do if you want to get ahead. It’s one of the fastest ways to get the knowledge you need to move ahead in life.

Working for free, in my opinion, is one of the best things you can do. It’s something that just about everybody who’s got far ahead in life or anybody who’s become rich, typically has worked for free at one part of their life or they’re still doing it today.

I still work for free today. Whenever I start a company, I work for free probably for at least 2 years at the beginning before I start getting paid. It allows me to put money back into the company instead of pulling out a salary. It grows faster and is better capitalized.

Think about that. You want to find something to work for free, so you can work to learn and not to earn.

Now, if you like The Question of the Day, I want you to go and pick up a copy of my book, Self Made. You’re going to love Self Made, and if you don’t, you’re going to give it to someone who does love it, and I’ll give you your money back. You can pick it up here.
